The Garden of Eden and the Eel Line 2022

Multimedia installation, dimentions 380x 210cmm, text written in Romani with cherry fruit seeds in white textile fabrics pieces, hung with reeds and inside they hold aromas of herb plants.

Through a multimedia installation, the artist writes in his Roma language "Oh my land, how sweet you are! I promise that one day I will return all that I took from you: trees, flowers, animals, birds, clean water and everything that belongs to you, my land!” with fruit tree seeds in pieces of textile fabrics, which he collected to make seedlings and "re-create" the Garden of Eden as a form of expression to give voice to his initiative in creating an independent ecological and economic system , on his land near the "Vija e Njjala" river that flows into the Seman Sea. The good aroma that comes out of this installation imitates and ironically preaches the strong smell of chemicals that the river emits every evening, which has turned into a very big environmental and health problem. Kazanxhiu "re-builds" the Garden of Eden near this river, bringing two realities that inevitably confront each other: that of an individual who seeks to create and live in a clean and healthy environment as and create an independent economic system as a result of the fear and economic difficulties of the current situation. The concern and proposal raised by the artist is how an individual can create an economic system that can be in harmony with the environmental one. Smell it!
